The annual book event is back! While the Super Bowl is happening on Sunday, book enthusiasts can look forward to their own Super Bowl at the Arizona State Fairgrounds this weekend.
The VSNA Used Book Sale, also known as the 67th Annual Volunteer Non-Profit Service Association Used Book Sale, is taking place on February 10th and 11th. The sale will be open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday and 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday. Please note that gates will open at 5 a.m. and overnight camping is strictly prohibited.
There is no cost to attend the sale, but a fee of $12 is required for parking at the fairgrounds.
On Sunday, all items are half-priced except for those in the rare and unusual category. There is a wide range of 29 topics available, from children’s books to fiction and history. The Book Sale chair of VSNA notes that this year’s donations include a special collection of signed first editions authored by political figures, and there are also some books priced at only $1.
The VSNA book sale is coordinated by a group of over 120 individuals within the organization. Throughout the years, the VSNA has contributed a total of $9.5 million to various non-profit organizations in the Valley, such as Literacy Volunteers of Maricopa County, Duet: Partners in Health & Aging, and The Phoenix Conservatory of Music.
