Summer Deals for Top-Rated Golf Courses

Always wanted to play some of the Valley’s top golf courses but didn’t want to pay the big-ticket price? Now is the time to beat the heat and score some great deals to play your dream courses! With the temperatures rising, golf courses across the valley are dropping prices. The downside, of course, is playing in the heat but if you head out early you’ll survive it pretty well and still have the rest of the day for other things!

Where to play 

Troon North Golf Club
This is a hallmark of the Scottsdale desert golf experience with two 18-hole courses stretching through the natural ravines and foothills in the shadows of Pinnacle Peak. You can play for $39-$64 on weekdays and for $49-$91 on weekends. They also offer a special promotion called “Double Play” where you can play two rounds of golf within five days for $120.


The Boulders
This course is world renowned as one of the finest golf resorts in the western United States. The courses are considered the most demanding in the Southwest, and are known for their rugged beauty. Weekday rates start at $55 and weekends at $65

Talking Stick Golf Club
The club features two uniquely different golf courses that offer several options to golfers of any and all play levels. The North and South golf courses blend perfectly with their tranquil desert surroundings, providing a serene yet challenging day of Arizona golf. Try your luck on one of these courses this summer for $35-$60.

Westin Kierland Golf Courses
Honored as one of the “Top 10 Public Courses in Phoenix/Scottsdale” by Golf Advisor and ranked by Golf Digest as one of “America’s 9 Most Cheerful Golf Courses,” Westin Kierland Golf Club is a Scottsdale “must play”. Play here during the week for $39-$60 or on the weekends for $44-$75. Feel like cooling down after your round? Try the “Smash Splash” deal where you get a round of golf and admittance to the Westin Kierland Resort’s Adventure Pool for $59 per person or $39 for kids 15 and under. For the avid golfer, try the “Baker’s Dozen” which includes thirteen rounds of golf and six “2 for 1” entrées at Brittlebush Bar & Grill for $379.

The Phoenician
The Phoenician has been ranked among the “Top 75 Golf Resorts in America” by Golf Digest. The Phoenician’s three diverse nine-hole courses create 18-hole combinations for the challenge and fun you crave. You can play this course for $42-$68 during the week and for $51-$76 on the weekends.

Ocotillo
A traditional-style course, Ocotillo Golf Resort’s lush fairways, cascading waterfalls and colorful flora offer a unique contrast to the desert landscaped courses that permeate the Valley. Summer rates range from $29 to $79 depending on tee time and day of week. In celebration of their 30th anniversary, they’re offering a special promotion, which included golf, cart, practice balls, a dozen Nike Mojo golf balls, and a drink ticket for the refreshment cart. If you only want to play nine holes, try their “Nine & Dine” special that includes nine holes of golf and food.

TPC Scottsdale
Home of the largest-attended tournament in the world, the fan-favorite Waste Management Phoenix Open, TPC Scottsdale is a masterful blend of challenge and playability – compelling the sport’s top players and recreational golfers alike. You can play the course some of the greatest players have played this summer for $59-$133.

We-Ko-Pa Golf Club
Offering breathtaking views of the McDowell Mountains, Red Mountain, Four Peaks and the Superstitions, We-Ko-Pa Golf Club lies on Fort McDowell Yavapai Nation land that will never be commercially developed. This summer you can play for $75 or if you’re an Arizona resident, you can play for $45. If you’re feeling up to the challenge, check out their 36-hole package for $120.

Grayhawk Golf Club
Raptor course offers a thrilling challenge that commands a player’s respect through a daring, high-stakes game of risk and reward. Talon course is one of the highest rated daily-fee golf courses in Arizona, and is included on Golf Magazine’s prestigious list of the “Top 100 You Can Play in the U.S.” You can play 18 for $60-$80 or if you can’t pick a course, play all 36 for $105.  If you’re hungry, try “The Penguin” which includes golf and an entrée in any of their restaurants for $69 a person. The “Dirty Dozen” offers twelve rounds of golf and twelve 2 for 1 entrées.
