In October, U.S Representative Debbie Lesko announced that she would not seek re-election to office. However, her political career may not be over quite yet.
Lesko has filed paperwork, stating the intention to run for the Maricopa County Board of Supervisions position currently held by Clint Hickman in District 4. Hickman announced last week he would not seek re-election to his office.
In 2013, Hickman, Republican, was elected for the role and held the office for the West Valley district for over ten years.
In 2018, Lesko, a member of the Republican party, was victorious in a special election for her position in the U.S. House of Representatives. She has since been reelected three times.
On Friday, Lesko expressed gratitude to Hickman for his contribution to the community in a tweet on X.
Lesko is set to run against two other candidates who have announced their run for office. Rob Caterbury, a former Navy member with 20 years of service, and Dr. Bob Branch, a successful entrepreneur.
