Glendale Toddler Dies In Swimming Pool Drowning

A 18 month girl, passed away on Sunday evening after drowning in a pool in Glendale.

At approximately 5:30 p.m. on Sunday, authorities were called to the scene of an incident of a child drowning in a house pool located near 75th Avenue and Deer Valley Road.

Prior to the arrival of the police, the Glendale Fire Department made an attempt to rescue the 18-month-old girl.


The child was taken to the hospital and later declared dead on Monday morning.

According to authorities, the pool area was secured by a fence. The child’s caregivers and the circumstances leading to her presence at the pool are currently under investigation.
