Mike Tyson Opens New School in Phoenix

Mike Tyson has joined forces with another famous fighter to help kids get an education.

Mike Tyson and MMA star Daniel Puder recently opened a first-of-its-kind school in Arizona called Tyson’s Transformational Technologies Academy.  The school is an extension of Daniel’s prep schools, which is the first emotional and belief intelligence-based school system in the nation.

The campus is located near 16th Street and Thomas Road and accepts students in 6th through 12th grades. The hybrid learning environment includes mentors, vocational and career services, life skills and a health and wellness curriculum. The cost to attend the school is $24,000.

As the fighters explained, the school is about teaching life skills like financial literacy and resume building, topics that aren’t found in the traditional curriculum.

Tyson and Puder have opened four schools so far. There are two in Florida and one in West Virginia. Tyson goal is to expand telling reporters, “We’re gonna educate the world, baby!!!”
