Security Violation Leads to Arrest of Two Female Travelers at Sky Harbor

On Monday, Phoenix’s Sky Harbor International Airport was the site of a security breach caused by the actions of two women who evaded TSA screenings. Both were subsequently apprehended.

Monday at about 4:45 p.m. it is reported that two women bypassed various “do not enter” signs and made their way into terminal 3 at Sky Harbor. The TSA confronted them and informed them that these areas were for exiting the premises and they could not stay.

Court documents report that the two women proceeded to progress past the TSA personnel and exclaimed that they were late for their flight, heading for the terminal. It is said that the two women declared that they would not linger for safety and still kept on going.

The TSA activated an alarm that notifies supervisors and law enforcement when a serious event has occurred, while simultaneously another agent tailed the women.

Upon the arrival of law enforcement, a breach of security was declared and the female suspect was eventually located.

The two individuals were apprehended and kept on insisting to the officers that they had missed their flight, yet neither of them showed any remorse or seemed to comprehend the severity of the incident.

The police arrested the two women and charged them with the crime of illegally entering a vital public service building, which is a class 5 felony.
