Mill Avenue to Host Tempe Festival of the Arts This Weekend

This weekend, Tempe is reviving an age-old custom that will bring residents together in a celebration of art and cuisine.

The Festival of the Arts in Tempe is scheduled to run Friday to Sunday between 10 am to 5:30 pm.

The event will be located on Mill Avenue between Third Street and University Parkway, as well as on Fifth Street in the span between Myrtle and Ash avenues.


What can visitors expect to find at the Tempe Festival of the Arts?

The festival, which is free and fun for all ages, will feature entertainment, beer, and wine. Furthermore, there will be a maximum of 350 booths with art from all over the country.

At Kid’s Block, a part of the event dedicated to young artists, there will be a Henna Shoppe, a photo booth, and atomic balloons for guests to enjoy. Additionally, there will be a youth exhibition for all to participate in.

At the event, guests can browse through sixteen different art categories, such as ceramics, digital art, drawing, fiber, glass, mixed media, painting, photography and wood. Shoppers can find anything from soaps, lotions, sauces and spices.

Downtown Tempe is expecting a lot of traffic in the area due to the high school state championship football games and ASU hockey. Officials are recommending that you opt for the use of the Valley Light Rail into the area. The Valley Light Rail provides free parking at nine different Valley Park and Ride locations.

People who choose to bring their dog, they must be kept on a leash at all times during the event.
