Police Make Arrest of Two Teenagers In Casa Grande Murder

Casa Grande Police Department have arrested two teenagers in connection with the death of 17-year-old Hailey Stephens and the non-lethal shooting of another 17-year-old female at a gathering over the weekend.

The police apprehended a 16-year-old male from Casa Grande and a 17-year-old male from Coolidge, both were processed into the Pinal County Juvenile Detention Center.


The Pinal County Attorney’s Office plan to charge the two suspects with second-degree murder.

The case is ongoing and investigators are in the midst of interviewing additional witnesses. Further suspects are being sought out, and law enforcement is anticipating more arrests in the near future.

On the weekend, Chief Mark McCrory of the Casa Grande Police Department declared that no area is safe from the heinous crimes carried out by some, and that his officers had been working tirelessly to progress the investigation. He additionally acknowledged the helpfulness of the local community by providing the police with tips. However, despite the arrests, there is still work to be done and more culprits to be brought to justice, so the Chief requested that anyone with any information do the right thing and contact the detectives.
