Proposal Submitted For New Office Tower Development At Popular Biltmore Intersection

There is a possibility that a new office tower will be constructed at a well-known crossing located in the heart of one of the Valley’s leading commercial areas.

Macerich Co., a company headquartered in Santa Monica, California and known for owning prominent shopping malls in the Valley, has submitted a plan to the Planning Hearing Officer in Phoenix. The plan is to build a 140-foot tall office building at the location of Biltmore Fashion Park, situated on the northeast corner of 24th Street and Camelback Road.

According to the documents, Macerich’s application reveals plans for a 10-story office tower spanning 330,000 square feet, with the first floor designated for retail and each office floor covering 40,000 square feet.

Macerich is the owner of Biltmore Fashion Park, which has popular tenants like Macy’s, Saks Fifth Avenue, Anthropologie, and Life Time. The proposed office tower will be situated close to Life Time, towards the southeastern corner of the 32-acre property. Currently, there is a surface parking lot occupying the location. On Feb. 21, there will be a reviewal process for the proposal for a building.
