Prescott Valley Man Arrested On Child Sex Trafficking And Weapons Charges

Leon Baskerville

A Prescott Valley man was arrested Thursday on child sex trafficking and weapons charges.

Human trafficking detectives along with Yavapai County’s Partners Against Narcotics Trafficking unit (PANT), arrested 31-year-old Leon Baskerville. Authorities say Baskerville solicitated a sex act for payment from an underage female after he made contact and agreed to meet.

During the arrest, Baskerville was found possessing a deadly weapon, which he was not permitted to own due to a prior arrest. Officers also found additional evidence connected to the trafficking charge.

Baskerville was booked into the Yavapai County Jail on the charges.

“I am proud of our human trafficking detectives for taking this predator off the streets,” said Sheriff David Rhodes.  “Crimes perpetrated at the expense of our most vulnerable are particularly heinous, and because of the hard work of law enforcement, children are no longer in danger from this man”.
