Northern Arizona Teen Missing Since 4th of July

The family of a Northern Arizona teenager is asking for help in finding their son.

An anonymous donor is offering $50,000 for information in finding 16-year-old Jarrett Brooks after he went missing on July 4, 2023.

Laura and Brian Brooks are trying to remain optimistic in their search to find their son safe.  Jarrett is one of six other siblings. His parents describe him as outgoing, caring, loving, the life of the party and the life of the family, and they desperately want him to return safely home.

His parents have not heard from him in 26 days. The Navajo County Sheriff’s Office report that Jarrett was last seen on Boyce Road in Joseph City around 6:30 a.m. on July 4, which is just a few miles from his home.

Jarrett’s mother Laura said her last interaction with her son was around 6:15 a.m. in the morning when he asked if he was grounded after breaking a vehicle, he took off-roading when he wasn’t supposed to. She did let him know that he was grounded.

Laura assumed Jarrett had gone outside to walk the dog before going to a 4th of July parade, but she sadly hasn’t seen him since their interaction in the morning. Jarrett’s parents feel that for him to runaway is uncharacteristic of him. They are greatly concerned for his safety and are deeply worried if he is still in the state or even alive.

The family hired a private investigator, James Harter, to help in safely finding their son and bringing him back home. They are currently following all leads. Harter has received several tips but so far, their search continues. The Brooks family is asking that if you see Jarrett, please call Harter Investigations, LLC at (480)904-2628 immediately or the Sheriff’s Office at (928) 524-4050.

The family has set up a Go Fund Me account to help in his location.
