Invite To Explore At ASU’s Open Door Event

The ASU Open Door event invites the local community, adults and children of all ages, to experience ASU and discover why it was named one of the most innovative universities in the nation three years in a row.  ASU Open Door is an exciting opportunity for people to get a behind the scenes look at the spaces that house innovative projects, including the Mars Space Flight Facility, ASU Marston Exploratory Theater, ASU Super Computer, and more. Individuals will hear firsthand from students and faculty about topics such as volcanoes, drones and robots, medical breakthroughs, and even Mayan discoveries.

ASU Open Door welcomes visitors to explore the spaces accessible only to ASU students – laboratories, living collections, museums and classrooms. Visitors have the opportunity to participate in interactive, hands-on activities and talk to students, faculty and staff There will be hands on activities for everyone in the sciences, engineering, humanities, and arts.

ASU Athletics will also be a part of the festivities, as well as other activities like exploring street-style dance, language lessons, and testing musical talents in the “Instrument Petting Zoo”.


The ASU Open Door is an integral part of the Arizona Sci Tech Festival, and promises to be a day full of discovery and learning.

The last event is taking place this Saturday, February 23rd, at the Tempe campus. All are invited to explore the campus from 1-6pm. ASU is home to students from all walks of life, cultures, and backgrounds, and this event is an invitation to find out why students love ASU, and what makes is truly unique.
