Hot Wheels Legends Tour Coming To Scottsdale In October

Hot Wheels will be bringing its Legends Tour to various Walmart parking lots across the country for the third year in a row and will be returning to Arizona on Oct. 17, the tour’s final stop across the United States.

The Valley stop is set for 8 a.m. to noon at the Walmart in Scottsdale’s Northsight shopping center, 15355 N. Northsight Blvd.

Phoenix hosted the Legends Tour in both 2018 and 2019 and will be one of 17 cities to be included as part of this year’s nationwide traveling car show.

The event gathers car enthusiasts of all kinds, where hopefuls show off their unique ride in an attempt to have their vehicle immortalized as a Hot Wheels toy.

A jet inspired, open-wheeled race car won the Hot Wheels honor in 2018, while the 2019 award went to “The Nash,” a more traditional white and turquoise coupe featuring an open engine decorated with oversized dice.

Various on-site activities will also be provided by A&W Root Beer, Walmart, American Honda, Dickies, Mobil 1 and Dynacraft Wheels.

Head of Hot Wheels Design, Ted Wu said in a press release he’s “been blown away by our fans’ talent and serious passion for cars.”

“The Legends Tour brings together cars of almost every make and model that embody the Hot Wheels brand and we’re excited to take it to the next level in an even bigger and better way in 2020,” Wu continued.

Over the last two years, the Hot Wheels Legends Tour has enabled gearheads to display nearly 10,000 custom cars in more than 20 different cities in the United States, Mexico and Germany.
