GoDaddy selected among Fortune’s list of best employers

Scottsdale-based GoDaddy Inc., a domain-name registrar, is again ranked on Fortune magazine’s 100 Best Companies to Work For List.

The annual list, released March 3, ranks GoDaddy No. 95.

Fortune uses a survey of employees, asking questions about compensation, empowerment and training. That accounts for two-thirds of a company’s score. Fortune also audits company benefits, hiring practices and employee recognition.

“Elite recognition like making the Fortune Best Companies list shows just how valuable our commitments to trust and transparency are,” said Auguste Goldman, GoDaddy chief people officer. “Our employees, collectively, work together so we all have a voice at GoDaddy.”

GoDaddy employs about 5,000 people with facilities in metro Phoenix, Washington, Massachusetts, Iowa and California, and Asia, Brazil, India, Canada, Mexico, United Kingdom, Australia and the Netherlands.

GoDaddy first made the Fortune list in 2012.

GoDaddy CEO Blake Irving has focused on recruiting and retaining top talent since joining the company three years ago.

“Building diverse teams who love collaborating and riffing on new ways to solve our customer’s problems is a top priority for GoDaddy,” he said.

Last year, Irving revealed GoDaddy’s salary data based on gender, inviting other companies to be more transparent as a way to help achieve salary parity in the technology industry.

The company’s domain-name portfolio stands at more than 62 million.
