Gilbert Police Are Looking For Man Convicted of Sex Crimes With Minors

The Gilbert Police Department has put out an alert for help in locating a person convicted of sex crimes against minors.

Paul Nelson was found guilty of sexual misconduct involving minors on Nov. 15, the outcome of a 2021 Gilbert police inquiry. The judge released a warrant for Nelson’s capture after he was absent from the court decision.

Police have warned that Nelson may be in possession of a weapon and possibly in a suicidal state. A photograph has been released that shows him with and without hair, though it is not known if he currently has hair or not.

According to the police, Nelson may be on the move in either of two vehicles.

A 2010 Honda Accord in gray with license plate BEE9946 and a 2003 Nissan Xterra in white with license plate ATX4498.

Law enforcement stated that the plates on the car might have been replaced or interchanged.

Gilbert Police ask that anyone with knowledge of Nelson’s location call 480-503-6500.
