Blood Donors To Receive Free Ticket To Phoenix Symphony Through End of November

Until the end of the month, anybody who gives blood at a Vitalant collection center will receive a ticket to the Phoenix Symphony in Phoenix.

During the holidays the demand on blood supply because critical as people are busy and traveling and not making the effort to donate blood.

In an effort to increase the blood supply in the state, now through November 30th, Vitalant will be collecting donations at its seven Valley locations (Phoenix, Scottsdale, Mesa, Tempe, Chandler, Glendale, and Goodyear). In exchange for donations, individuals will receive a voucher to attend a show by the Phoenix Symphony.

Donors can book an appointment either through the website or by calling 877-25-VITAL (877-258-4825).

Vitalant and the Phoenix Symphony have partnered since 2003, stemming from the aplastic anemia diagnosed in the Symphony’s late maestro, Hermann Michael, in 1999. This illness impinged upon Michael’s capability to generate blood cells.

Michael was thankful that, when he was in need of it, there was blood available for him to have chemotherapy and transfusions every few days.

Six years after being diagnosed with a terminal illness, Michael passed away. Nevertheless, the Phoenix Symphony still carries on its yearly tradition in his memory.
