Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport Adds Medical Clinic

Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport is already “America’s Friendliest Airport” but it will soon become even friendlier with the addition of a medical clinic, among other new stores. The airport development is meant to give both incoming and outgoing visitors pleasant memories of the constantly improving city of Phoenix.

The medical clinic is a part of a larger project to upgrade Terminal 4, the airport’s busiest terminal. On May 10, the Phoenix City Council approved a complete restoration of the terminal with a second and final phase. This renovation will mean the addition of sixteen new retail stores.

Many of these new stores are the firsts of their kind. The first TripAdvisor store in America is a part of this upgrade. Additionally, the first vendor found in an airport that sells Lucky brand products will now be in Phoenix Sky Harbor as well as the first Brookstone.

The new medical clinic will also be the first of its kind. The clinic will be a combination drug store and doctor’s office, with a doctor on site. At this store, you’ll be able to grab last-minute items that you may have forgotten that can be typically found in a drug store. You could even opt to grab some types of over-the-counter medication.

These new stores were chosen specifically based on feedback from customers at the airport. The airport will continue to expand on the local and national brands already at the airport to try to create an atmosphere that frequent flyers would enjoy.

The stores implemented in the first phase of the renovation are already open. Stores on this list include Arizona Highways, Bunky Boutique, Brooks Brothers, and Sunglass Hut, among other vendors. The aforementioned stores included in the second phase of the overhaul will be open in steps through the end of the first quarter of 2018.
