Tucson Police Searching For Killer

A Tucson man is dead, a family is left distraught and authorities are searching for the killer.

On Wednesday morning, South Tucson Police were called to a shooting in the area of South 6th Street near Interstate 10. When officers arrived, they found 21-year-old Lionel Matthews dead. He had been shot several times.

An investigation has led authorities to believe the main suspect in the case is Christopher Rodriguez. A warrant has been issued for Rodriguez’s arrest for one count of 1st-degree murder and one count of possessing a weapon as a prohibitor possessor. Police are asking for the public’s help in locating Rodriguez

Matthews family members are grieving the loss and said he was a hard worker. He cherished his sons and family and that he was deeply loved. The family wants justice in his horrific crime.
