This Weekend’s ‘Take Our Border Back’ Convoy to Pass Through Yuma

A group of protesters advocating for tougher border regulations will be making their way through Yuma County this weekend. The convoy, which is currently traveling through the United States, is set to reach its destination in the coming days.

According to the Yuma County Sheriff’s Office, they have been notified that the organization, Take Our Border Back, will be traveling through the region.

The organizers of the convoy have held meetings with local law enforcement agencies in an effort to reduce the impact on the community and assure that the rally will be conducted peacefully.

According to the sheriff’s office, the convoy will arrive in Yuma on Feb. 3, with a few drivers coming in the day before.

On Wednesday, the group was located in Beaumont, Texas.

Dozens of drivers initially began their journey in Virginia Beach and then passed through Alabama before reaching Baton Rouge, with the convoy’s ultimate destination was the border.

The group stated that their objective was to bring attention to the volume of undocumented migrants entering the United States through Texas.

According to the sheriff’s office, it is important for people in the area to take into consideration the potential traffic concerns caused by the convoy, as it could result in a significant influx of individuals and vehicles to the area.
