The Launch of a Massive Rocket Seen Over Phoenix

Is it a bird? Is it a plane? No, it’s actually a Falcon 9 rocket launched by SpaceX.

In Phoenix, on Monday night, an enormous white comet appeared to streak across the skies of the Valley. A true unique experience for anyone who happened to see the event.

At approximately 7:30 p.m., SpaceX launched a Falcon 9 rocket.


The rocket, accompanied by Starlink satellites, was launched by SpaceX at the Vandenberg Space Force Base located in California.

The massive rocket created a commotion in Phoenix, which is approximately 533 miles from the launch site. Numerous residents of Phoenix used social media to post images and videos of the rocket taking off on the distant horizon.

The rocket was also detected by traffic cameras operated by the Arizona Department of Transportation.

According to the latest update from SpaceX, the initial stage of the Falcon 9 rocket successfully landed on a drone ship in the Pacific Ocean.
