Tempe Man Arrested By ASU Police For Alleged Assault on 3 Women

On Thursday, a man accused of attacking several women was apprehended by officers from the Arizona State University Police Department.

According to ASU Police, three women reported to have been were allegedly assaulted by who believe was Justin Adrian Avery, 29, in various public areas on the Tempe campus.


The attacks occurred within a period of 30 minutes.

Avery purportedly approached his victims without any specific selection process.

According to authorities, tips provided by witnesses and victims through ASU Police Dispatch resulted in the arrest of Avery near Hayden Library at approximately 4:30 p.m.

According to law enforcement, Avery is neither a student nor an employee of ASU.

Avery is facing charges for unlawfully restraining one of the victims.
