Authorities in Pinal County Searching For Homicide Suspect Who Possibly Fled To the Valley

The Pinal County Sheriff’s Office in Phoenix is seeking assistance from the public in locating a homicide suspect who may have escaped to the Valley.

On Friday, authorities announced they are looking to located 49-year-old Javier Lopez. They announced that he should be viewed as a potential threat and is likely armed.


According to authorities, Lopez may currently be located in either Phoenix or Tempe.

Authorities are seeking to communicate with him in connection with their inquiry into the killing of 43-year-old Christina Lopez.

On Thursday, authorities reported that the victim had been discovered deceased at her home near Felix and Judd roads, located outside of the town of Florence which is approximately 65 miles southeast of Phoenix.

Authorities are reminding individuals who encounter Lopez, they should immediately contact 911 or reach out to the department directly at 520-252-3412.

According to law enforcement, he was last spotted behind the wheel of a 2003 silver Nissan Sentra.
