Early Tuesday morning, Mesa police responded to a scene where two people were stabbed during a home invasion.

A 911 dispatcher received a call from the area of Mesa Drive and Broadway Road where a neighbor was reporting a possible burglary.

When officers arrived on scene, they found three people inside the home and two of them were stabbed. Mesa police report the victims were taken to a hospital for treatment. The extent of their injuries has not been released.

During the investigation, officers were told that three people forced their way into an apartment during a burglary, resulting in the attack.

The investigation is underway and details on the suspects have been released, who remain at large.
