Phoenix Woman Accused of Killing Spouse in West Valley Home

Police in Phoenix have arrested a woman on suspicion of killing her spouse in their home west Phoenix.

At approximately 1:20 p.m. on Friday, law enforcement was called to a home near the intersection of Grand Avenue and Camelback Road.


The police, on their arrival, discovered Harold Hostetler, aged 89, with serious wounds. Emergency responders worked to safe the victim, however, he passed away at the scene.

Hostetler’s wife, Lawanda, 52 was not originally at home at the time the police arrived to the scene. She eventually came home and was taken into custody.

Following a thorough investigation, the police charged her of murder and she was taken into custody.

No additional information has been released. The law enforcement is still conducting their investigation in the case.
