Over 950,000 Fentanyl Pills Confiscated in 5 Days At Nogales Border Crossing

Mexico’s War on Drugs has been a long-standing battle against the drug cartels operating at the border and it doesn’t seem to be getting any better.

In February, within a period of five days, the Nogales port of entry confiscated over 950,000 fentanyl pills.

As stated in a statement from Port Director Michael Humphries, the pills were confiscated in three separate seizures on February 20, 24, and 25.

A vehicle was discovered to contain 659,250 fentanyl pills, 4.8 pounds of fentanyl powder, 10.45 pounds of meth, and 2.7 pounds of cocaine on February 20.

On February 24, authorities confiscated 181,125 pills of fentanyl and on February 25, an additional 115,650 pills were seized.
