Organ Stop Pizza Prepares for Christmas in July with Drive for United Food Bank

Christmas is coming early for Organ Stop Pizza. For the entire month of July, the 45 year-old pizza joint is asking patrons to bring two non-perishable food items to donate to the United Food Bank.  Customers who bring in at least two food items for donation will be treated to 10 percent off of their entire food order. The infamous organ and restaurant’s halls will be decked with Christmas cheer and decor to commemorate this event.

What is Christmas in July without Christmas music? Lew Williams’ popular Christmas CD, Holiday Pipes, will be on sale at $14.00, with $2.00 of every CD being added to the donation pool. Organ Stop Pizza is also accepting cash donations for the United Food Bank. Meet their goal of collecting $5,000 and Organ Stop will match that amount!

The United Food Bank has been helping feed the community since 1983. In the 2015/2016 fiscal year alone, they donated over 26 million pounds of food to people in need, spanning five Arizona counties. Their goal is to ensure low-income neighborhoods are getting nutritious and wholesome food. Organ Stop Pizza is making sure the entire community has nourishment during the hottest months of the year.

Aside from canned veggies, the United Food Bank asks for anything you can give. Their most needed items include cereal, beef stew, rice, canned tuna, dried milk, noodles, peanut butter, and beans. Sorry, no baby food, expired food, glass items, or open food items will be accepted.

Organ Stop Pizza is home to the largest organ in the country. While those pipes are humming, the Mesa community is humming the tune of gratitude at this time of year.

Be sure to dine in Saturdays or Sundays throughout July from 4pm-7pm for a chance to see Old Saint Nick himself!
