Native Grill & Wings Team Opening New Concept in Arcadia

A new fast-casual concept called Guidepost 13 is opening soon thanks to the team that is behind Phoenix-based Native Grill & Wings.

As QSR Magazine reported, Dan Chaon the CEO of Native Grill & Wings, along with 12 others this fall are opening Guidepost 13 in Arcadia.

The concept restaurant will open at 3541 E. Indian School Road, which is off 36th Street, which is a place that is known for many new eateries in its area.

Guidepost 13 is seeking to redefine the traditional wing and pizza segment by being an energetic, eclectic, and bold restaurant concept. The restaurants will have 2,500 square feet and seat around 75 to 90.

It will have menu offerings similar to the Native Grill & Wings (now 35 years old), having customized oven-grilled wings, chicken tenders, and flatbreads that are never fried. Self-serve beer and cider taps will also be offered to give the restaurant a customized feel.

After the initial flagship restaurant opens, that will be corporate-owned, Guidepost 13 is likely to have three to five more locations in the Valley. This will be followed by expansion into major markets via franchising. A fee of franchising will cost $25,000 and the initial investment for opening a franchise will cost somewhere between $450,000 to $695,000.

Franchising of Native Grill & Wings has also made the company expand to more than 40 locations.

In the restaurant industry, fast-casual is one of the quickest growing segments of the industry although sales haven’t grown as fast in prior years.
