Award Winning Denver Taco Restaurant to open in Phoenix

Award winning chef, Kevin Morrison, will bring his restaurant named Tacos Tequila Whiskey to Arcadia early next year. Tacos Tequila Whiskey, which is owned by the KTM Restaurant Group, currently has two locations in the Denver area.

Morrison has been commended for his restaurant and received dozens of accolades. The concept which began as a food truck has been named by Thrillist as one of “21 Best Mexican Restaurants in America,” and by the Huffington Post as one of the “10 Best Taco Spots in the U.S.”

The non-traditional taco restaurant will be located on the corner of 40th Steer and Indian School road – in the heart of the Arcadia neighborhood. Obviously, central to the concept is not just tacos. Specialty cocktails will feature sangrias, margaritas, and various seasonal offerings. This summer in Denver, they featured Chili Chile Vodka with mango pineapple juice, lime and white wine!

The Denver sister restaurants feature tacos “Denver style.” This is Morrison’s unconventional approach that includes sour braised pork belly and slow cooked barbacoa. The concept began as a way to build upon street tacos straight from Mexico.

KTM Restaurants also features a volunteer division in Denver with a focus on giving back to the local community – particularly school. Look out for Tacos Tequila Whiskey to be a new hit in the Phoenix this spring.
