The Gatsby-inspired Grand Prix of Scottsdale will be Held from 4-6 November 2016

This year’s Grand Prix of Scottsdale (the 2nd in total) has been announced to be held from the 4th to 6th November, 2016. It is expected that more than 20,000 people will be attending the Gatsby-inspired event.

All of the participating teams will be allowed to show off their creativity by custom designing their USA-made Vintage Mini Racer™ provided by the Vintage Kart Company. November 6th is the day when all of the official race day festivities will start. The event will begin at 9am and visitors can enjoy themselves till 5pm.

On Friday night, the Grand Prix of Scottsdale weekend will commence. The gala on the day will be called the ‘Gatsby Under the Stars Gala’. It will be hosted by Southwest Human Development, a charity partner of The Grand Prix. The Marshall Way Bridge will serve as the venue.


On Saturday and Sunday, Southwest Human Development will be hosting the Gatsby Lawn Party. Attendees are asked to wear outfits that are inspired by the iconic Gatsby-style. More than 30 beers, food and wine samples will be offered by chefs from the Valley. There will also be cigar bar with club seating. Big Band music will be played along with choreographed dance performances.  

All of the participating drivers will be able to check-in for the Grand Pix main event on Saturday. The event will also be making sure of children entertainment through Concours d’Kids, and the Grand Pixni.

Dave Pratt (Radio personality) will serve as the Master of Ceremonies. Jim Lane, the Mayor of Scottsdale will serve as the pace car passenger for the Main Event Race. The Grand Prix’s Main Event will begin at 11am. It will begin on Marshall Way Bridge. The winner will receive the Vintage Victory Trophy. Second and third-place racing teams will also receive awards. Racers with the best individual lap time will also be rewarded.

The Grand Prix event is free for the public to attend.
