Missing Safford Girl Found Safe in South Carolina

Betty Taylor, a Safford child who has been missing for over a week has been found safe.

12-year-old  Betty Taylor , told her father she was going for a walk, but never returned. She was last seen on March 20 at around 11 a.m. at Thunderbird Mobile Home Park, just south of Safford.

Family members and hundreds of people frantically began searching for her around 6 p.m. that evening and contacted authorities two hours later. Search was underway byair and ground.


Betty’s family posted to Facebook Wednesday morning that she was indeed “found safe and alive.” Graham County Sheriff’s Office confirmed the news. She was found on Hilton Head Island in South Carolina. Justin Taylor, Betty’s father plans to fly out to get Betty.

Family members confirmed that one person is in custody regarding the situation.
