MCSO Investigating New Year’s Eve Hit-and-Run in Phoenix Involving Dodge Challenger

The police in Phoenix are asking for the public’s help to identify the car involved in a deadly hit-and-run incident that took place on New Year’s Eve in Phoenix.

Around 11:40 p.m. on Sunday, the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office reported that a 2015-2023 Dodge Challenger traveling west on McDowell Road had struck a pedestrian in the area of 83rd Avenue and 86th Drive before fleeing the scene.

The identity of the person who passed away remained unknown after the accident.


It is believed that the car may have sustained damage to the right side of the vehicle, including the front bumper, grill, undercarriage, hood and windshield.

The Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office is requesting anyone with knowledge of the case to phone either 602-876-TIPS (8477) or 602-876-1011, referring to office report IR24-000006.
