Get your dishes ready, because MasterChef is conducting an open casting call in Phoenix, AZ.
MasterChef, which airs on Wednesdays at 8/7c on FOX, is currently casting for its ninth season. Open casting in Phoenix will take place this Saturday, September 16, 2017 from 10 am to 6 pm at the Pointe Hilton Squaw Peak Resort, located at 7677 N. 16th Street, Phoenix, AZ.
To audition, aspiring chefs will have to bring a prepared dish, which will then be served to the judges. You will be given three minutes to plate the dish on a single plate at the audition location, but you will not have any opportunity to cook or warm up the dish. You must also bring any necessary utensils, such as forks and spoons, as they will not be provided. You should come prepared with these limitations in mind.
To be on the show, you must be 18 years or older on or before January 25, 2018 and must also be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident. Unfortunately, if you were previously a professional chef or are currently a professional chef, you do not qualify to be on the show.
If you are interested in attending the open call, you are strongly encouraged to pre-register on the MasterChef website.
If you cannot attend the open call in Phoenix, you may also submit a video submission with an online application. Additional audition instructions can be found here.
