Gilbert Seeks Feedback on Water Tower Plaza

The City of Gilbert is asking residents on their input for Gilbert’s Water Tower Plaza.

The town is looking to the future in Gilbert’s Heritage District and making improvements to create an even more connected and vibrant downtown. As part of this effort, we’re creating an updated vision for the Water Tower Plaza.

The plaza has become a beloved spot in the Heritage District since it opened in 2008. It’s home to Gilbert’s iconic Water Tower and a place where countless memories have been made.

As with any aging amenity, maintenance and improvements are required.

The original Water Tower Plaza was constructed in 2007 and is now in need of significant upgrades to the underground infrastructure for the plaza’s water features. Many replacement parts needed are no longer available for this outdated system. During repairs, all concrete and above-ground amenities in the park will need to be removed so it the perfect time for a redesign.

Gilbert is hoping to start construction in the summer of 2023 with the goal of completion by the summer of 2024.
