Chick-fil-A Testing Out New No Cashiers, Drive-Thru, or Dining Room Concept

The fast food chain Chick-fil-A has announced plans to launch a new store in Manhattan, which will solely cater to mobile pickups and will not have a dining area, drive-thru, or even cashiers.

The inaugural Chick-fil-A establishment that will exclusively utilizes mobile ordering is one of two new concepts being tested by the popular fast food chicken chain. In addition, a drive-thru-only concept is also being experimented with in Atlanta, where the restaurant will feature designated pickup lanes for customers utilizing a mobile app.

Customers at the new pickup-only location will utilize an app to place their orders, and the restaurant will employ GPS tracking to ensure that the order is prepared for the customer’s arrival. Chick-fil-A has announced that there will be specialized screens displaying the status of orders for either delivery or mobile pickup, notifying customers when their order is ready.

According to Chick-fil-A, their latest idea is specifically catered towards busy New Yorkers who are always on the move.

The introduction of the new idea coincides with Chick-fil-A’s expansion of its mobile application, which is increasingly becoming a significant portion of its clientele.

According to Chick-fil-A, the company is constantly seeking ways to innovate and improve the guest experience. As digital concepts continue to rise in popularity, it is crucial for Chick-fil-A to adapt in a distinctive manner that meets the evolving needs of their customers without sacrificing the signature service and care that they have come to appreciate.

With over 3,000 establishments scattered throughout the United States and Canada, Chick-fil-A has a wide reach.

It is expected after an initially testing phase of the concept if the popular chicken sandwich brand will role the concept out across the United States.
