Jessica Kramer

A former teacher is in jail following a Buckeye police investigation into allegations she sexually abused a  student.

On Monday, officers arrested 42-year-old Jessica Kramer at her home in Buckeye and booked her into jail on sex crimes charges.

On April 18, 2023, staff at Odyssey Institute for Advanced and International Studies reported to Buckeye police that they had received information about a possible inappropriate relationship between 42-year-old Jessica Kramer, who used to teach at the school, and an OIAIS high school student. The Buckeye Police Special Victims Unit began investigating the allegations.

During the investigation, detectives learned the abuse began around August 2022 before Kramer left OIAIS in October 2022. The victim is a 17-year-old male student who was attending OIAIS high school. Evidence was presented to a Maricopa County Grand Jury which indicted Kramer on multiple counts of sexual conduct with a minor. Buckeye police took Kramer into custody today at her home in Buckeye without incident.

Buckeye police are committed to protecting and seeking justice for crime victims. The Special Victims Unit works closely and collaboratively with personnel at the Southwest Family Advocacy Center to ensure victims receive care and support throughout the investigation process.
