Arrest Made in Connection with Deadly Stabbing in West Phoenix

A man has been taken into custody for his alleged involvement in a deadly stabbing that occurred in west Phoenix almost a month ago.

According to the Phoenix Police Department, 22-year-old Shane Enos was apprehended on various charges, including murder.


On January 19, Enos allegedly stabbed Tasha Yellowhair, 49, during the early morning hours.

At approximately 2 a.m., law enforcement received a call of a wounded individual near the intersection of 51st Avenue and Baseline Road. Upon arrival, they discovered a female, who was later identified as Yellowhair, suffering from at least one puncture wound.

After being transported to a hospital, the victim was declared deceased.

According to Sgt. Rob Scherer, Enos was arrested due to probable cause determined by homicide detectives following a comprehensive investigation.

No additional information has been released in the case. An investigation is still underway.
