Arizona Man Confesses To Having Child Porn During Police Polygraph Employment Interview  

The El Mirage Police department dodged a bullet with a potential new hire and made an arrest.

Sergio Celaya, 25, was in the interview process to be hired as a police assistant. All El Mirage Police Department potential new hires must participate in a polygraph test. During the standard human relations polygraph test, Celaya admitting he had videos and photos of child porn.

El Mirage police say that Celaya admitted that he goes on a free online chat website called Omegle, where he would send and receive sexual videos and photos of kids from strangers, including videos of underage teen girls having sex. Celaya had in his possession a flash drive containing thousands of porn photos and videos, with sexual videos containing kids as young as 11-15 years old. He also said that still had in his possession sexual videos of his ex-girlfriend and him dating back to when they were teenagers.


Celaya informed officers that he didn’t send the images or videos to anyone, but kept them for himself. Celaya admitted to police he knew it was illegal to have child porn and wanted to delete the photos and videos or throw away the flash drive, but made the decision to keep it instead.

Detectives completed a search Celaya’s home near 75th and Glendale avenues and confiscated four files containing child porn on his flash drives and laptop, with children between 5 and 15 years old. Police report that the flash drives had thousands of images saved, and investigators are currently working on analyzing them.

Celaya has been booked on four counts of exploitation of a minor.
