Keeping Track of Important Arizona Election Dates In 2024

2024 marks an election year and Arizona will play a key part in this election cycle.

The Arizona Secretary of State’s Office has set up a web portal where voters can check their registration status. If any changes need to be made, they can do so at Service Arizona.

In 2024, the following are the important election dates in Arizona to be aware of: key election dates.


On March 19, the state of Arizona will be holding its 2024 Presidential Preference Election.

The ballot will feature sixteen contenders, with the Republican Party represented by nine hopefuls and the Democratic Party having seven. The two leading figures in the race are Donald Trump for the GOP and Joe Biden for the Democrats.

In order to cast a ballot in the PPE, individuals must be registered as either Democrat or Republican prior to Feb. 20. This date is the cut-off point for registering or changing affiliation to be able to participate in the PPE.

July 3: Collection and submission of signatures for ballot initiatives must occur.

The number of signatures required for a constitutional amendment is 383,923; for an initiative measure, 255,949; and for a referendum petition, 127,975.

The Arizona Secretary of State provides a comprehensive list of ballot initiative applications.

On August 6th, Arizona will be hosting the primary election for the year 2024.

The deadline for citizens to sign up to be able to vote in the upcoming election is July 8. People who are not affiliated with a political party can still take part in the primary election, although they will need to select either a Republican or Democratic ballot.

Starting from July 10th, early voting will be underway and those on the Arizona Early Voter List or who asked for a ballot will receive them via mail. The latest day to cast a ballot in-person is August 6th at 5 pm.

On Election Day, August 6th, citizens can cast their ballots in person until 7 p.m.

The general election for 2024 will be held on November 5th.

In Arizona, the last day to register to vote for the election is October 7th. Those on the Arizona Early Voter List will start receiving their early ballots on the 9th of October.

Voters must cast their ballots early in person by Nov. 1 at 5 p.m.

Ballots can be sent in by voters on the day of the Election, with the option to vote in person until 7 o’clock in the evening.
