Underwear Company Created By ASU Graduates Has Opened In Scottsdale

An underwear company created by Arizona State University grads opened last week in Scottsdale.

Tommy John opened in the Apple wing of Scottsdale Fashion Square last Tuesday, according to a press release.

“We’re thrilled to open our doors to the Scottsdale community,” said Erin Fujimoto, co-founder of Tommy John. “Having been born and raised in Arizona, this store opening is particularly meaningful to me. I can’t wait to introduce new products to the community and hopefully help make Scottsdale shoppers a little more comfortable in the process.”

Fujimoto and her husband, Tom Patterson are ASU alumni that graduated in 2002. They founded Tommy John back in 2008.

The Scottsdale store is the first in Arizona. It will sell Tommy John men’s and women’s underwear, undershirts, bras and apparel.

It will also offer prosecco and local beers on tap, according to the release.

“Over the last two years we’ve been really excited by our shoppers’ response to Tommy John stores,” Patterson said in the release. “We look forward to provide a truly new unique shopping experience to a community that means so much to us.”

Tommy John has four locations nationwide with a fifth expected to open by the end of the year.
