Offender Task Force, apprehended 24-year-old Djimon Boggs in connection with sexual and aggravated assaults in the area of S. Gary Drive and E. 8th Street.

Over the last month, there have been three incidents reported in the area of Eighth Street near S. Gary Drive which involve one sexual assault and two aggravated assaults. In each instance, a suspect of the same description has entered through an unlocked door or garage. Tempe Police officers had been intensively searching the area, while providing safety information to residents in the neighborhoods.

“We are immensely grateful for the unwavering dedication and tireless efforts of our officers, investigators, and our invaluable partners at the state and federal level. Together, we have successfully apprehended the sexual assault suspect connected to the recent incidents. This achievement would not have been possible without the collective strength, support, and trust of our incredible community. Thank you for your vigilance, cooperation, and commitment to keeping Tempe safe,” said Chief Kenneth McCoy on behalf of the Tempe Police Department.

Currently, the investigation is ongoing.
