Suspect in Arizona Stabbings Connected To New York Woman’s Murder

Raad Almansoori

On February 18, Raad Almansoori was taken into custody in Scottsdale for his involvement in a stabbing at a McDonald’s in Surprise. He is also suspected to be connected to a homicide in New York at the beginning of the month.

26-year-old Raad Almansoori is being sought in New York for the supposed murder of 38-year-old Denisse Oleas-Arancibia. The victim’s body was discovered on February 8th in a hotel room in Manhattan by hotel staff. The cause of death, as determined by the medical examiner, was severe head injury caused by blunt force trauma.

The authorities are currently investigating whether Almansoori has any connection to other criminal activities in various states, including Florida and Texas. The motive behind these crimes is still being looked into.

According to the New York City Police Department, they are seeking to have Almansoori brought back to New York from Arizona. However, Maricopa County Attorney Rachel Mitchell announced on Wednesday that she will resist the extradition process.

According to Mitchell, the decision has been made to detain the individual in question. He believes that it is necessary to keep the person in custody due to mandatory jail sentences and after witnessing how violent criminals are typically treated by the Manhattan DA, Alvin Bragg. This is being done to ensure the safety of individuals in our state, county, and throughout the United States.

What actions were taken by the accused murderer from New York while in Arizona?

Almansoori was taken into custody in Arizona, following his arrest on Sunday for a stabbing incident that occurred at the McDonald’s located at Greenway and Reems roads in Surprise.

According to reports, the individual supposedly went into the restroom designated for women, forcefully knocked on the stall door where the worker was trapped, squeezed their way under the door, revealed a BB gun, and proceeded to stab the 18-year-old female in the neck multiple times before making a quick escape.

Upon the arrival of law enforcement and the establishment of a perimeter, reports were received regarding a stolen vehicle, believed to have been taken by an individual fitting the description of the suspect.

The suspect was located at Scottsdale Fashion Square later that day and arrested for operating the stolen car. Upon being detained, Almansoori confessed to assaulting the woman at McDonald’s and another individual in Phoenix a few days earlier, according to authorities.

During interrogation, the suspect informed the authorities that he was a suspect in a murder case in New York and advised them to search the hotel’s name on Google.

At the press conference, Phoenix Police Assistant Chief Ed DeCastro expressed gratitude for the swift cooperation of all the agencies involved, which allowed them to apprehend the suspect and put an end to his crime spree. He emphasized the fortunate timing of their actions in catching the perpetrator.

Almansoori was arrested and taken to a Maricopa County detention facility for various alleged offenses, such as attempted second-degree murder, aggravated assault, armed robbery, and stealing a vehicle.
