Just west of Kingman, hikers located human remains over the weekend.

On Saturday, October 10, hikers discovered a human skull near Pioneer Drive and Laguna Road in Golden Valley.

The Mohave County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that an investigation is underway.

After an extensive search of the area, additional bones were also located.

The medical examiner will examine the remains to determine the cause of death.

Golden Valley is west of Kingman, and about 100 miles southeast of Las Vegas.
