Potential Sale of Ford Bronco from O. J. Simpson Chase Expected To Be $1.5M

The infamous 1993 white Ford Bronco, famously associated for being used in O.J. Simpson’s chase, will be sold by its current owners – Michael Gilbert, Simpson’s ex-agent, and two friends of his longtime associate, Al Cowlings. They are looking to profit from the high demand for memorabilia related to the former football player.

The most recent bid for the Bronco has now reached $750,000. However, their current goal is to secure a minimum of $1.5 million through either a public or private transaction.

Prior to O.J.’s passing, it was believed that this year would be the ideal time to sell as it marked the 30th anniversary.

According to reports, approximately 100 million individuals tuned in to witness Simpson and Cowlings leading a slow-moving pursuit on June 17, 1994, in Southern California, accompanied by a fleet of police vehicles.

After a while, Simpson finally reached his residence in Brentwood, where law enforcement officers engaged with the ex-NFL player to turn himself in for the murders of his former spouse Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron Goldman.

The SUV has been stationed at a condominium garage in Los Angeles for a span of 17 years before being transported to the Luxor hotel-casino in Las Vegas. There, it was briefly utilized in the grand opening of a sports museum.

The Bronco was later taken to Simpson’s former agent’s residence, but his spouse expressed discontent with the housing the vehicle and insisted the infamous Bronco be stored at another location. Eventually, the vehicle was relocated to the Alcatraz East Crime Museum in Tennessee after the owners finalized a lease agreement for an undisclosed amount.

According to reports, the Bronco was purchased by the current owners for $75,000 from Cowlings during the mid-1990s.

Last week, at the age of 76, Simpson passed away in Las Vegas due to prostate cancer. Despite being accused of killing Nicole Brown Simpson and Goldman in 1995, he was ultimately acquitted of all criminal charges.
