Police Searching For Driver In Fatal Hit-and-Run Involving Jogger

The Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) announced over the weekend they are searching for the driver responsible for hitting and killing a pedestrian.

According to authorities, Lisa Mancuso, 43, was running at approximately 10 a.m. near the intersection of Cloud Road and Seventh Avenue in New River before the accident occurred on Saturday.

MCSO reported that the driver hit her and then fled the location by heading east on Cloud Road. The truck driver eventually came back to the location and witnesses attempted to prevent the truck from leaving. According to reports, the driver made a U-turn and quickly left the area, heading east on Cloud Road again.


Police believe they located the gray F-250 truck on Sunday with the assistance of witnesses who provided details about the vehicle. Detectives are currently in the process of identifying the driver.

According to authorities, there is currently no information on whether factors such as speed, alcohol, or distraction played a role in the incident.
