In May, the Chandler Police Department conducted a multi-agency operation targeting adult online predators seeking to engage in illicit sexual activities with children in the City of Chandler and adjoining cities. The operation aimed to identify and apprehended predators and prevent and deter illegal sex-related activities with potential minor victims.

The Gilbert, Mesa, Phoenix, Queen Creek and Globe Police Departments, in conjunction with the Pinal County Sheriffs Department, the Arizona Attorney General’s Office, the Maricopa County Prosecutors Office, Homeland Security Investigations, and the Federal Bureau of Investigations, participated in the enforcement detail. The two-day operation resulted in 13 suspects being arrested for over 30 sex-related felony crimes. Firearms and illicit drugs were also seized during the operation.
