Police Asking for Community Help In The Case of Dead Body Found In Phoenix Canal

The Phoenix Police Department announced on Thursday that they are currently conducting an murder investigation in which a dead body was discovered in a canal.

On Wednesday at approximately 10 a.m., authorities were alerted to an incident concerning a male individual discovered in the Grand Canal near 12th Street and Indian School Road.

The precise location of his body was discovered at 4300 W. Longview Avenue.


Officials have determined that the individual found in the canal was Darrick Cling, a 40-year-old man.

The investigation of this case is being carried out by homicide detectives, who are receiving assistance from the Office of the Medical Examiner.
