Phoenix to Host Mexico Culture & Tourism Festival This Weekend

On Dec. 2-3, 2023, the Spirits of Mexico Culture & Tourism Fest will be held in Heritage Square in downtown Phoenix.

This weekend, the Spirits of Mexico Culture & Tourism Fest is scheduled to take place in downtown Phoenix.

The purpose of the event is to bring together the community to celebrate the culture, flavors, and customs of the northern Mexican state of Chihuahua while advancing sustainable international travel to the south of the border.


The event is scheduled to take place at Heritage Square – located at Seventh and Monroe streets – on Saturday from 11 a.m. until 6 p.m., and Sunday from 11 a.m. until 5:30 p.m.

It is possible to purchase tickets in advance online. A VIP experience that includes a shot glass, 10 spirit sample tickets and a free cooking class sign-up costs $45 per day. Admission without alcoholic beverages is priced at $25, and children 12 years and under are admitted free of charge.

Tickets can be used to experience a tasting of tequila, mezcal and sotol, all agave-based spirits. Food will not be included with the price of the ticket.

Mariachi and ballet folklorico performances as well as works of art from Mata Ortiz Pottery will be showcased at the Imex Live Events Festival.

Yazmin Quezada, founder of Imex Events and presenter of the Spirits of Mexico Cultural & Tourism event, commented in a press release that this is a fantastic occasion for Phoenix to experience the splendor of Chihuahua, Mexico. She expressed that she hopes this event inspires people to visit Chihuahua and encourages international tourism.
