In the early hours of Sunday morning, a vehicle collided with a house in Peoria, resulting in one known fatality and five individuals being taken to the hospital, reportedly in critical condition.

At around midnight, Peoria law enforcement received a report of a black Infiniti car colliding with a house in the vicinity of Vistancia Boulevard and Lone Mountain Parkway in the far northwest Peoria neighborhood of the Vistancia community.

Police reported that one individual passed away on site, while five others were rushed to the hospital due to severe injuries. There has been additional unconfirmed reports that one or possibly two additional passengers in the vehicle may have also passed. The occupants of the home were unharmed.

The involvement of speed or impairment in the crash remains unclear.

The authorities have not yet disclosed the identity of the driver or the victims involved in the incident.

The investigation is still ongoing.
