Maricopa County Property Values Increase for Sixth Consecutive Year

We have good news for homeowners. The value of real estate in Maricopa County is increasing. It comes as the Assessor’s Office is sending 1.6 million notices of valuation for the 2019 tax year.

Median values have recovered from the recession, and it is the sixth consecutive year that the values for single-family homes have grown.

The communications manager for the Maricopa County assessor, Ryan Boyd, says that while the value of homes has continued to grow, it has grown less between 2018 and 2019 than between 2006 and 2007.

The average cash value for a single-family home is $214,000, and the average value of commercial property is $546,000.

Owners must appeal their valuation with the Assessor’s Office by April 24th.
