In Pinal County, a hot air balloon accident on Sunday morning resulted in four fatalities and one person being critically injured.

According to Eloy law enforcement, the incident took place in a remote desert location approximately five miles north of the town.

The identities of the victims have not been disclosed yet, as the authorities are waiting to notify their next of kin.

The reason for the accident is currently unknown.

The Eloy police department is collaborating with various federal organizations, such as the NTSB and FAA, in order to conduct a thorough investigation into the crash.
